Project Manager

Taurus Power and Controls, Inc. is an industry leading control systems integrator, providing Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems to customers in multiple industries, primarily the municipal Water & Wastewater industry as well as general manufacturing. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to participate in current and future projects delivered from our Kent/Seattle, WA location.

In this position, you will participate in full life-cycle project delivery including sales support, customer interface, design, procurement, programming, implementation, commissioning, testing and training. SCADA projects include PLCs, RTUs and other intelligent devices communicating over copper, fiber or wireless to centralized monitoring and control locations. Human Machine Interface workstations that you would program, graphically represent our client’s process and track, trend, and alarm critical information.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in the design, installation, troubleshooting, and testing of integrated control systems. Experience should include a working knowledge of electrical systems, PLC programming, HMI configuration, SCADA software graphics and database development, control panel design and communications system implementation (telemetry). Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs is preferred. A four-year degree in an engineering, science curriculum, or demonstrated experience is required. Professional certification is a plus.

Intrument and Controls Technician

Taurus Power and Controls, Inc. is an industry leading control systems integrator, providing Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems to customers in multiple industries, primarily the municipal Water & Wastewater industry as well as general manufacturing. We are currently seeking an experienced Instrument & Controls Technician to participate in current and future projects delivered from our Kent/Seattle, WA location.

In this position, you will participate in performing and providing calibration, repair, installation, troubleshooting, loop checks/tuning, and documentation of instruments and process control system variables. In addition to general instrumentation and control devices; you will have the opportunity to work on VFDs (variable frequency drives) and UPSs (uninterruptible power supplies). At times you may perform panel fabrication duties, as well as selected Project Manager functions (please see above).

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience performing in the above role. Experience in programming and maintaining process control, PLC control systems, I/O, safety, Human Machine Interface and associated control software is desired, familiarity with Allen-Bradley is a plus. A broad product knowledge of various power control, loop controllers, AC/DC drives, communication networks, SCADA and Telemetry component understanding is best.

Our Instrument and Control Technicians must be able and willing to travel, work at customer sites that may require climbing, working in confined spaces and other unusual work environments. It is essential to be available for on-call support of our clients via cell phone and be willing and available to work overtime, weekends and holidays to meet customer expectations and project commitments.

This position requires the ability to read and understand electrical elementary wiring diagrams and control panel layout drawings. Accurately locate, mount and wire devices in and on panels, based on the layout drawings supplied. Perform electrical testing of completed panels that involves working with energized circuits where there is a risk of electrical shock. Possess a reasonable knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 79, "Electrical Standard for Industrial Machinery".
